It's a block away from our house.
    Looks solid.

Nice. Those wheels look like stock from another make but can figure it out without the centercaps.

Nice Con-Ferr rack too. And on original Con-Ferr mounts.

It's a weird situation. The man that lived there recently died. There have been a lot of people in and out. I stuck around long enough for them to come outside and chat if they had wanted to.

That is a weird situation. Probably not ethical to go in and tell everyone that you were one of his best friends, and he'd said he wanted you to have his Scout after he's gone.

    Ha!
I should have knocked, but I don't like bothering people.

Yup, if they see some guy standing on the front lawn taking a picture of a 'jeep' in their driveway shouldn't bother them at all.....You stayed there long enough for them to come out if they wanted to but you probably left just before the cops arrived.....

Just kidding. Same way. Hated every second of taking my kids around door to door to sell popcorn for the Cub Scouts

I saw someone outside of the house where the Scout was and struck up a conversation with a lady. She said she knew the Scout owner and that he was in town for a film shoot about an hour away. He had also purchased a VW van from her that he was going to bring back to California. I told her where I lived and asked her to tell the Scout guy. He´s supposed to be back near our house in a few days, hopefully he will stop be and we can talk shop.
