I know this is a little off topic, but y'all gotta check out these pics! Supposedly, the artist is a kid, still in high school. GM needs to hire him, that's all I know!

If you like Camaros, you gotta love this concept!

If you don't like Camaros...why'd you even open this thread?:p

    It's no Scout...but it's almost as cool!:p ;)

I have never had nor ever plan on owning a Chevy, that said, That's a sweet concept pic. GM needs to hire him and build 'em. I bet they couldn't make 'em fast enough.

I like the booty shot of the green one.

    But other than that,

    :barf:

The front reminds me of redneck-rice custom grill action on a peekup. That said the kid has potential! Which means GM prolly won't hire him. :(

As for Camaros, I like my uncle's one owner '71 Z28, aka 'The Brown Bear'.

    "redneck-rice custom grill action"

This coming from a guy who drives a Subaru WRX? You even popped the boy-racer wing off the back, and ordered a quadrouple decker aluminum and carbon fiber one to replace it! When is the wing due in, by the way...before or after the fart pipe? :p :p :p

Why does the first pic of the orange one look like a cheap rip off of the same view of the 2005 'Stang concept (The top on in the pic)?? :D :D Ie: Recessed headlights, bulging rear wheel well, humoungus main grill with large lower one as well???

The Camaro concept looks nothing like the little red "X" you posted. At least...not to me, anyway.:p

Besides, if you are going to buy a new Mustang, you'd better look at the front end of all the Camaro/Firebirds that you can, because you sure aren't gonna be in front of any at the track! The new Wusstang GT's are going to be a whopping 300hp. Wooptie-doo. The 1998-2003 Camaro was 305, and the SS/Firehawk was 345.

There was (I can't find it, now) an article at GMInsidenews.com that said the Camaro was coming back in 2007, with 340+hp standard. The SS/Ws6/Firehawk generally added 25-30hp to that. And, the Camaro/Firebrid almost always was cheaper than the Mustang, too...and handled better, and braked better, and...

Basically, Ford sucks. I like the styling of the new Mustang...now they need to put a little power in it, and suspension, brakes, etc...and keep the price down. Then they'd have something. As it is, they'd better enjoy having the only "Pony Car" for a couple years, because it ain't gonna last long.:D

EDIT: The red "X" is gone, the Slow Horsie shows up, now.;) You think those two cars look alike? Oh. Where's the bulging rear wheelwell on the Ford? It looks like you could lay a straight edge from the front fender to the tail lights, to me.

I too immediately felt there was a resemblance in the grill and headlight layout on the front shot only of the 2nd Camaro versus the Mustang front end. In fact if I hadn't seen any of these other Camaro images, I think a blue oval could be substituted for the bow tie on that one view and it would look right at home.

BTW, I really like the looks of the first of those two Camaro's. And I also really like the looks of the actual new Mustang. I think it's the best looking Mustang that Ford has come out with in a LONG time, probably since about 1969. Actually it looks like the 1969 Mustang front end so maybe that's why I like it.

And 300 HP would be plenty for me. Actually at my age 200 would be plenty for me.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!?:p I like the new Mustangs quite a bit myself, but I really do like this design better. The Mustangs are a lot more squared off, where the Camaro concept is more rounded, over the fenders especially.

And, if 200HP is enough for you...you must really be old!;) As something to compare the power to...the 2005 Corvette will be standard with 400HP. The Z06 (top of the line Vette) is rumored to be over 450 in 2006. That's what I'm talkin about. More money, but still:cool: .

Anybody else seen the new Ford Cobra concept? I'm not too fond of it. I think it needs the bubbled up headlights to look like a Cobra. The 6.4 liter aluminum V-10 with 605HP would be okay, though! Slap that powerplant in the Mustang, Ford...I dare ya!

    Re: ooooooooooook...

I guess I should correct or clarify something I said earlier.

I didn't mean to say that I thought the Camaro pictured here and the NEW Mustang looked just alike, because I don't think so; only that I could see a strong resemblance between the ground level front view of the orange Camaro and an earlier generation Mustang front end.
