What are those seats from?
Those are also from a 2020 Sienna middle row
Installed some rockville rockmat, good stuff, and super heavy!
@MrKenmore heres how I'm doing the double DIN not finished obviously, got rid of the crap 2nd gen dodge cup holder and backfilled it.. about 1/2" of fibertech followed by skimcoat of bondo
Sprayed 2 liters in the interior lastnight, only mixed enough gray for 4 liters.. going to need to spray 3 more.. what do you guys think.. too many different shades of gray? I'm thinking a closer match to the seats (see window sash trim). Lower piece that's a darker gray is part of the dash. Sprayed thru a 2.5mm hvlp, going to shoot the rear cargo final coat with a heavier texture (schutz gun)
I think you'll be good on the interior color pallet.
I've gotta respray either way... my compressor just can't keep up spraying raptor thru hvlp.. theres some splotchy spots.
Carpet came in! Loving it except they left it a little long up near the firewall so the rear where it curves up vertically behind the rear seat is a tad short.. hoping it will flush out after it settles and seats get bolted in. Glass guy is coming Friday I believe.
Going to reshoot the rear cargo area floor with sand mixed in the raptor so my German Shedder is not sliding all over back there.. kind of thinking to shoot it a darker gray to match the carpet.
Windshield is in!
Chinese 'XYG' glass, installer said it had a lifetime warranty.. I'm reluctant to believe such words but hopefully I never have to find out. $350 installed, Safelite was the only other provider that could get it and they wanted $100 more and I do not believe that included tax or installation.
Sharbite 3/4" PEX ball valves and T's.. $32 bux @ Lowes and fits the 5/8 heater hose just fine.. I will be using this setup to block off my heater core to help drop AC temps.
Ordered up the 36' of AS-2000 window channel from Restoration Specialists huge thanks to Mr.Kenmore on that.. i searched and searched for a less costly version.. found a lot of similar pieces but nothing I felt confident wouldn't come without issues.
I have a pex shut off valve in my Terra. Works awesome! I stole the idea from Corvette guys. I didn't do a bypass. It's just one manual valve on the opposite heater hose the cable valve is on.
Glass is looking good. Glad you got the window run channel. Remember I cut my corners. Verticals go up into the nook. Horizontals meet the verticals. Factory did it in one piece. Didn't come out as nice.
I would put a third valve in between the 2 tees,if not when you do open the 2 valves when you do need heat,it might not flow through the heater core, taking the path of least resistance.
Unless you need the coolant to circulate, then as Matt stated , one valve will do the job...
That's all my stock heater core has
Yeah the 12 valve is supposed to be bypassable I just felt better about adding the T's.
I'm planning to experiment with some 45* corners, if they don't flush up or look perfect I'll do as you did, did you experiment with cutting the window channel @ 45*? Probably more hassle than its worth..
Good thinking, I'll keep that in mind if my heat dont work! Hahha come to think of it theres not enough space between the T's I'd have to cap them if that problem occurs.
I've read the 12 valve can be bypassed, its a huge hunk of iron that I'm not 100% familiar with yet so I'd rather play it safe and stick to the T's
No progress this weekend other than the window install.. my In-laws decided they were moving to AZ and are staying with us until they buy a house... we could not be more unhappy about this... because we were planning to move in with them in WA until we bought a house oh well, life gives you lemons you make lemonade.. new set of plans for us I'll hopefully be posting about towards the end of the year.
Ill have to take a peek at this when you get up to WA
Glass looks good, Safelite was who I talked to around here, who did you find yours through?
Sadly does not look like we're moving there. Got the window through RyMax autoglass here in Gilbert, AZ
Jeff you're right, did some reading on this.. they say the heat won't work too well unless there's a valve in the middle.. so it'll end up 1 valve or 3. Dang.
This is why we all come here,to learn from other people so we dont make the same mistakes.I work on alot of boiler/hot water heating systems.Seen that mistake alot.
I noticed the upper passengerside seal has a bit of a gap, everything looks seated, is this going to be a problem? Pay no attention to the liner, just sprayed half a bottle so the window could get installed
Also has anyone ever used a sealant or butyl tape in the quarter glass?
It might leak there, dont know how well it will seal to the liner, its made for flat surfaces.Worst case, they make silic.one to seal it with
