Shot some single stage lastnight.. first time ever spraying.. didnt end well and I'm sure low lighting only made things worse. Didnt want to turn on my 7000 lumen LED it's a bug magnet.. overall I'm content with it but I'm planning to hire someone to sand my runs, buff it, and touch up some areas.

Color came out alot darker, supposed to be Marina Blue/ Tyrol Blue.. Limco single stage urethane 20200512_013347.jpg 20200512_013326.jpg 20200512_013310.jpg 20200512_013347.jpg 20200512_013326.jpg 20200512_013310.jpg

Thanks man, been sitting on this since August 2017, gutted it within weeks, had a baby September 2017 and it pretty much sat until late 2019 I had it dustless blasted, January 2020 came around and said I'm finishing this baby this year. I've got a mobile paint guy coming to clean up my mess Tuesday, planning to shoot the lid white tomorrow since the blue came out alot darker than expected.. also picked up 6 bucket seats from a 2020 Sienna, super comfy, going to be real fun getting those to fit though but I'll make it happen.

had to remove the armrests off the middle seats and plastics off the base of all in order to squeeze these babies down to 65 inches.. still not sure if they're gonna fit or need some custom work done at an upholstery shop.

I'm liking it too just was not the color I seen at a car show... the car I seen was done in BC/CC however, didnt think the color would be so much different. In AZ anything that's not white is too dark during summer haha. Here's the Tyrol Blue firebird that inspired the color choice

Shot some white raptor on the lid, came out rougher than I wanted but man it sure made it solid and not flex, going to sand it down a bit, and respray with my 2.5mm gun.. those undercoating guns are 6mm! and literally barf material right out, liter was gone in less than 60 seconds 20200520_124657.jpg

White is on the exterior if you zoom in you can kind of see it, I'm going white real high up top, the body lines just dont flow for a white roof any other way in my opinion.. and I've not seen another Travelall with just the very top done in white. I am planning to cover this thing in raptor though.. top to bottom inside and out.. I have 20 liters.. lid took 4 because i used the free 6mm gun that diarrheas it all out.. hoping 2.5mm I can smooth it out with half a bottle. This weekends plans are scuff epoxy undercarriage, seam seal it, then raptor it. If you want a solid roof without the raptor look.. highly recommend spraying some raptor on the underside, huge difference in rigidity.. and dont worry about my sloppy lines, will fix those on final coat

I thought about doing mine like how it was when I picked it up, but that's 3 colors of raptor on the doors for me, I have to shoot gray raptor on the interior door around the window area.

On your Travelall emblem - mine broke into 2 pieces but each half had 2 of the posts that hold it in the tailgate. When I re-installed mine you couldn’t even tell it was broken unless you look real closely.
Couldn’t tell for sure on yours - does each piece have 2 of the posts?
Oh and I think that blue looks awesome.

Sadly not, I believe it has 2 or 3 posts and only 1 post on the first half. Haha thx man it's one of those blues that is kind of moody, it changes under different lighting... in fact I noticed a door hinge looked like it was the color I was going for and would have sworn it wouldnt match the rest but put it up next to every spot on that thing it it matched haha

Seam sealed the piss out of the undercarriage, this dominion sure seal 'seems' like it is really good stuff, the odor means business, I used about 3/4 of a quart on the undercarriage. I put it on heavy, several days later and it's still soft... the dynatron stuff hardened too much imo.. and anywhere I put that on thick it shrunk and cracked. No bueno...

Also I stretched 4 liters of raptorliner on the undercarriage, definitely have some thin and bald spots I'm planning to scuff and rattle on some rustoleum undercoating. I bought all tintable kits and only 12oz of black pigment.. well I ended up mixing up a custom gray for my interior and used a fair amount of the black.. Soooooo, with plenty of extra blue I mixed the black.. and the Tyrol blue.. thinking I'm going to get a cosmic purple or royal blue.. it turned out deep dark lagoon green.. looks dark blue in the photos but trust me it is green. Productivity was low this weekend, only got the underside of the hood covered in 2 coats of Rustoleum 2000 degree flat black... first coat was clean, 2nd coat tiger striped, I wonder if its because I reused the cap from the first can like the cheapass I am... 20200602_191654.jpg

20200602_185952.jpg Removed the Dodge bed this evening, 23 years old and spent more than 15 of those years in Colorado, looking very clean. Frame chop on the callender's for Saturday, I have a gallon of UPol EGC101 for the tub and 10 cans of Rustoleum undercoating coming this weekend.. I will be very busy.

Can any of you D-Series Travelall owners confirm my Google findings, 69-73 @ 119" wheelbase, and believe I read 74-75 @ 120"?

Upon further inspection, you're correct, it has 2 posts on each side.. I was going off memory of how it sits on the counter and was thinking 3 posts total
