Hello all, long time since I've been on here. Apologies
I did search some, on here and Google, but can't get a good idea on what a 72 1210 is worth. Found one,
1972, 392, auto, 4x4, single cab, factory air, 8' bed, dent in pass fender and driver taillight, rust in top of windshield and both kick panels. I know it's opinions, but, I'm curious what you all think. Thank you in advance 24134.jpeg

So, I bought this beast. (more pics to follow) So far so good, but, I am having trouble sourcing parts. I have been into the Scouts for a while, but, I am new to the trucks. I'm looking for some good sources for all kind of parts. Also, are any of the Scout parts interchangeable?? I'm sure engines, trannys, axles and such. Any other drivetrain, suspension, interior? Much appreciated.

Nice-- boy, I wish I had that factory air setup!

I've found that IHPA is a good source for truck parts, as can be Rock Auto (for certain things). For used parts, I'm lucky enough to live about 90 miles from Coonrod's IH. Phil Coonrod does ship parts, however. Also, check the BP classifieds-- there's a lot of good stuff available there.

Thanks Chris! I will check those out for sure. I did look at the classifieds, but, I guess I need to sort by date or something. I looked at some and they were from 2012.
I see that you have a 72 as well. I definitely going to lean on you a little for advice. Let me know if I become a pain. I have drums all the way around. Do you know if the front and back use the same wheel cylinder? Also, I am trying to find the trim panel that covers the gauges, with no luck at all.
    Thanks for your reply.

I haven't dug into the brakes yet because they seem to work pretty well and the list of other tasks is really long (A/C, engine reinstall, frame paint, interior sound & heat insulation, fuel tank reline & install, camper install, on and on and on...
The more work I do, the more I have to do it seems, but I'll do the best I can to help you out. Coonrod's had a few of those dash panels when I was there in November. I have to go down there & score a T-All fuel-filler front fender, so I can check it out again. Google "Conrods IH" if you need info sooner than a month or so. There's also a salvage yard near here I bought an exhaust manifold at, so they may also have one. They charged me $75 for that manifold, though, so they may be kind of pricey. I can call 'em & check, if you need.
The more work I do, the more I love this big, badass truck, though.

I have no idea what happened there, I hope it's still legible.

I just noticed you have the driver-side fuel tank that I'm going to install in mine. Could you post up a pic of that from underneath? I need to find out what IH put under there as a skid plate (if any).

Both of my tanks still need to be installed. I looked up underneath and did not see any place that a skid plate would go. I know that the truck did not come with any from the PO.

There are no skid plates under the tanks, they just bolt to the bottom of the rocker and the floor with tank straps.

Mine had a full-length skid plate on it, so I assumed they all came that way. Dirt roads & off-road tires would pretty hard on those tanks without one, I would think.
