At nationals someone was selling brackets that bolt into a scout 2 taillight housings that took the 6.5" push in taillights trailers and rigs use. Anyone know who carries them I'd like to get some for my terra. I cannot make the replacement Chinese sockets work, been a constant battle since I got it on the road. I'm going with the push ins for markers and turn signals too. Sick of smashing good lenses up.

I didn't, wish I had! If it was a vendor, and you remember where they were at, SSS has the vendor list and layout, they might be able to help you out.

I saw someone using them. But I don't remember anyone selling the brackets. Most any (good) truck parts store should have the mounting brackets the trucks use in painted or SS.

You can use one for a pattern and graft it in. Or use them to make a bolt in bracket.

If you don't have any luck finding them send me a PM here or on FB.

I'm not sure who makes them? I know Grote does not. But I have seen the oval with LED back up lamps on the outer edge of the red portion.

I did it to my scout ii- just cut the short angle off and welded it in place.after a small bit of mod to the origninal tailight hole works great and no more bad sockets, better stop, tail, turn in the back.gonna do the same up front as well

I think it might have just been solved, Doug Scott emailed me this picture.....no idea if he has more for sale, or what the cost is, I'll post up when I find out.
