Anyone know of a compatible gm temp sensor with a 1/4 inch size fitting instead?
Why would you bother? If this is for the Jeep 4.0l head, just get the later jeep 4.0l thermostat housing and put the gm temp sensor in that sensor hole like the later jeep 4.0l efi uses. It is the right size and worked great for me and my TBI setup.
It will also read the correct temp as the heater hose passage isn't controlled by the thermostat if that is what you are worried about.
I did do that and the sensor didnt fit
Weird, maybe the one you ordered was for an even later jeep. I got one from autozone for a 91 jeep wrangler and it worked great.....
Can't you just use a 3/8 NPT tap to make the hole the correct threads?
You are right. I ordered another one and got the right housing thanks. Now I'm working on the power steering pump because I'm using a 4.0 head with the horseshoe manifold with a tbi setup on a 4.2 block
I could I guess. But I found out I ordered the wrong part. BTW thnx for the tbi adaptor plate for my horshoe manifold. Solid!!!
I can't remember what I did. I'm pretty sure I brought out the welder and made it work by making the bracket different but that was back in 2015 so a little past my memory for details.....
