I need some part numbers or where to find coolant tubes for a 304. Searching produced nothing but discussions - no part numbers.

    Thanks

Surely someone on the board will have a set for you. I tossed a good set out a couple months ago. The tubes for an I/C 392 cost more than $50.00 each at a IH dealer. - Ed

I don't want to sound offensive, but what do you mean by *part numbers*? A NAPA or AutoZone part number? If so, you're outta luck.
Would an IH/Navistar part number really do anything for you? I wouldn't think so, because if you went to an International truck vendor's parts dept, you could easily find SV engine water tubes, without knowing the parts number.
I'm just puzzled, because you (Buddy) have been signed up on the board since 2001, and it appears you still don't know about the Scout/Light Line vendors. Are you aware of Super Scouts Specialists, Light Line of Louisiana, The Scout Connection, Anything Scout, and ScoutMADness? Any of those vendors, and quite a few others should have the water tubes in stock.

Ditto. SSS has them. Call them and have them sent out today.

I was a little hopeful I might find some locally to get them installed quickly. I saw the ones at SSS and will order them if I can't find them in town. OldIHC in Houston didn't have any in stock.

I had seen that post before also. Now I know if I buy 345 tubes, they will work on my 304.

Just call up the closest International dealer & get them off the shelf, thats how I got mine. About 30-35 a piece.

    Buddy:
I don't think I conveyed that I was upset or *bothered* with your post. I don't believe I was offensive, either. Some people here on Tech Talk seem to ask questions that at face value appear that they want comprehensive info/instruction *now*, and they aren't willing to first call the Light Line vendors or buy a service manual or learn about basic auto mechanics, etc. Then they become *offended* when someone here gives them resource info, rather than the exact answer (if there is one) to their question.

Your post was rather simplistic, in that you were too brief, and didn't indicate that you did anything but perform a search (unknown how good of a search)of Tech Talk posts for the info you wanted.

I don't recall seeing your name around here too frequently (if ever?), so it appeared to me that you were unaware of any IH Light Line parts sources other than NAPA, AutoZone, Car Quest, etc.

I also believe that I provided some helpful information, such as: names of some major Scout/Light Line parts vendors. Most International truck dealers should carry (or be able to quickly obtain) the water tubes. Most local auto parts sources will not carry or be able to obtain IH SV engine water tubes.

After recently replacing water tubes on my Scout's 304, I would recommend using brand new tubes, unless you can find a set of *immaculate* used tubes for substantially less than the cost of new.

From now on, I won't needlessly preface my post replies with anything. I'll just be straight to the point, however *blunt* it may seem...
