Does anyone know the wheel bolt pattern of a 2wd Scout? and would the 80/800 pattern be the same as the Scout 2? Thanks.

The SII bolt pattern is 5 x 5.5" for 2wd and 4wd since they use all the same components except they have a straight tube w/o a pumpkin in the center. On the early S80 I believe they use a 4 lug pattern and unfortunately I don't know what pattern that is but I would bet it is 4 x 4.5" as that was a common 4 bolt pattern back in that time period. I think at some point they switched the 2wd early Scout to the 5 x 4.5" as used on the 1/2 ton 2wd full size for a while.

There were 2wd Scout 80's with 4 lug axles. I don't remember the pattern, but I've seen one and Scoutparts had some brake drums for them for stupid expensive.

I have seen an 800 2wd and a Scout 2 2wd that both had a smaller pattern than the
5x 5 1/2 that all the others have. I think the 800 had Ford Ranger wheels on it, but not sure. So did some of them have a different pattern or were the ones i seen modified?

Like I said the early 80 had the 4 x 4.5" the same as the Falcon/early Mustang 6cyl. The 800 at least in some years had the 5 x 4.5" which is the same as the early Mustang V8, today's Mustang, Ranger, Crown Victoria and the midsize Fords from the 70's as well as midsize Chryslers and AMC cars. The SII had the same 5 x 5.5" as the 4wd.

So what about the Scout 2 I saw that had the smaller bolt pattern? Were any of them a smaller size from the factory? And the axles were not from an 800 or 80 model and the front axle was 2wd and had disc brakes on it.

Do the 60 falcon 4 lug drums fit the scout 80? Found them for much less then scoutparts.

You can find almost anything for less than that vendor wants.

Confirmed that the ford wheel drums for falcon do not work for scout 80 with 9" drums.

Whatever it was, it didn't come from the factory that way.
