If the thread title is the question, as it sits now with what I think is a back seat and no bulkhead . A traveler. Even with the steel tailgate.
They're not that hard to swap so it could have been a Terra at one time and someone pulled the bulkhead and added the seat.

Yes, it was a question. I ran VIN # and it comes up as a pickup. I was thinking terra that has been converted. Thank you!

Terra came with the drop down tailgate versus the full hinge up Traveler tailgate. LST may still be visible on the glove box door. Or maybe he has a copy. That will tell you. I wouldn't rely on what the DMV has listed. In NY, they're not the brightest bulbs.

It has a drop down tailgate. It must be a terra. It is actually my scout and I’m looking to sell it and didn’t know what the difference was between them. Thanks for the help.

If the LST isn't on the glovebox , for a very small amount you can order one to eliminate the guessing. All in all it's more about curiosity than anything else and it doesn't really mean a whole lot as far as running parts go.

I have a Traveler and it has a regular Scout tailgate. Easy to change over. LST would be only way to know for sure what it left the factory as

The fourth digit of the VIN will tell you which it was built as. A 9 was a Terra 4x4 and a 0 was a Traveler 4x4. Also, if it was a Terra with the bulkhead removed, there likely should be signs of where the mounting bolts went into the side panels.

Howard, 4th digit is a 9. It is a terra that’s been modified. Thank you for the knowledge.

    I guess if the fourth digit is a "7" it's a 2WD Terra!

Correct, and an 8 is a Traveler 4x2.
