just got a 1953 model #L84D. Runs great but the door handle is broken. Does anyone reproduce these?
Post a pic of your handle or email it to me. I Kay have 1 ?
I will send an email. I haven’t figured out how to post a pic on here.
Looking for this handle.
Kool! You got it now.
There is a clear plastic cover that goes on the back of the lower part of freezer? I have the piece, but not sure how it attaches. You know?
Couple of pieces. I’m not sure where either one goes.
I have never seen another IH refrige like that one,is there a metal tag on the back that states made by International Harvester.
Sure does. Here is a pic of tag.
Thanks, never saw that handle,or the clear tray for inside. My tray is white and it slides in a track under the freezer to catch water during defrost,it diverts the water to a container that hangs on to clips on the left side. The smaller piece hooks to the other one(in mine atleast) and has a handle. Its a damper to restrict the amount of cold air from the freezer coming down.
Mine has the white tray also. Just trying to figure out where the two clear ones go. Fridge works great but everything freezes. Can you send a pic of the inside of yours showing how it goes together? Might help me figure this puzzle out.
I will try to remember, the skinny piece attaches to the rear of my white tray.It touches the rear of the fridge, offf of it is a metal strap that goes to a knob on the bottom of the white piece, the knob I believe has "summer and winter" on it.
Still in need of a handle like this. If anyone knows of one please contact me
