I have always wanted to cut the grill surround and grill on a d series to set the winch back against the radiator, to maximize approach angle. Yours is too nice to cut up, though.

I put the bed up yesterday to get some pictures, and to powerwash some of the dirt off. Here are a couple pics off what the truck is made of.
I also picked up the steel to fabricate the winch mount/bumper, I will put up pics of that next weekend.

I am pretty psyched that everything is clean, with no oil coating everything, and only needing minimal work. The pics were before cleaning. Just needs some wire wheeling and some spray paint.

So I've been busy working on the house, yardwork, deck, etc. So I've had limited time to work on the rig. Although I did remove the starter, since it was having issues. The PO put a push button incorporated in with the key switch, which went bad. I replaced it with a toggle and now I'm waiting on the starter to come in....since Caddy 500 starters aren't at every part stores.

So I just had a starter failure and typically have all of mine rebuilt but it was an emergency replacement. I bought it from O'Reilly's. It is, by far, the best starter I've ever had in my 500. It is their remanufactured one. It was $35. Just a heads up.

Made some slow progress on my rig. New 33 gal side mount gas tank was aquired and mounted, new starter, full tune up, rebuilt carb, new fluids, new hoses, cleaned up engine bay and undercarriage up front and picked up some Dodge dually wheels to hold the Super Swampers.

Couple more things and it'll be ready for inspection, then it's time to put it to work. Been a long time coming, too many projects.

A friend of mine also in the UK is trying to enrol on the board but never receives the verification email so never completes the registration, what could be causing this?
