I can't say it any other way, my nuts are rusty, and a little deformed from driving stud out of drum& hub

I don't have hubcaps for these wheels, so new lug nuts were seemed to be a way to clean up what soon will be freshly painted wheels. Problem is new right hand nuts 9/16 fine with thread and 45* taper are hard to locate, and left hand... MIA. So looks as if I may need to go down the used part path.

Any IH vendors selling new shinny lug nuts?

I found a company that refurbishes or rather relines brake drums. Mine are long past too thin and grooved, and I haven't found a used pair, so my drums are shipping out to McHenry, Ill to J&G Brake Drum Relining. Apparently there are only a few outfits that perform this work left.

Have you checked with NAPA? My guy here said he could get new studs and nuts for my ‘64 C1200, both right and left. I ended up not needing them but he said they could get them.

I'll keep you posted on brake drum reline. I have to ship them out to Ill., and they have about a six week backlog. So it will be a good two mounts before I get them back provided I can get the damn things over to UPS on Monday or sooner.

Thanks! I would appreciate it. I have seen several mentions of the process but don’t remember hearing any feedback on here.
