Thanks Punisher. Did the Scout 80 ever come with a roof rack? Anyone have pics if so?

It was a dealer option, I had one on a 62 that I had, don't have any pics of it though. That was a weird little truck, had some "interesting" mods done to it wish I still had it.

Motor/mounts and transmission/mounts are in. Sat the body on for a clearance check [IMG][IMG]

Thanks. I'm satisfied. I've got 2" dropped spindles, but it would be a lot more work. Would have to go with smaller tires up front and raise the bed floor again

These motor motor mounts were purchased on eBay $20 ea. 3/8 plate. Double that price anywhere else. Normally I would make all hardware. They're intended to mount on the motor and move the motor forward on the V8/S10 conversion. I moved them to the chassis and it lets the motor go back 4".

And cap the frame horns with 1/4 plate. Just enough clearance for the body and makes good mounting for a bumper

Finished structural support for the seats. Duplicated the brake booster/pedal plate on a larger scale than the original. Steering is complete, I had an early 70's GM column that filled the gap well. This is first time I've had a top on this body[IMG][IMG]

Nothing like new hinges. Did some reassembly making sure all is still aligning. Headed to the Decatur [IMG]swap meet looking for a few items this weekend

I'm loving the stance and the hubcaps are just perfect!

It looks great, are you going to build inner fenders?

Yessir. I moved the radiator support forward.
So I'll build back from there to the original inner fenders and cap the inside
as needed to make clearance for the control arms. It's got at least 6 different colors on it, the original color is white. I'll soon be blasting the body and chassis for coating

Noticed this a few times, thinking what a mess it's going to make pressure washing.
Looked closer and realized it's latex house paint that was put on with a roller.

Scouts on hold for a little while. I’ve taken on another project for a guy I️ know that has an upholstery shop. So there will be some bartering. He’s got a 1967 IH Truck 1100 going on a 92 Dodge 3/4 ton. The frame has been shortened and working on hardware too mount the cab and bed
    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
I’m assuming these areas under the dash are common rot areas
    [IMG][IMG]
I️ basically just reached in and pulled out the damper section

I’ve been pecking away at the IH Truck. Ended up notching the frame saddle back in each direction to get the body to sit level.

Its just way to high otherwise. So now making the bed meet the cab is next. Just like the Scout I’ll have to cut out the floor and raise it 4”.

The engine bay is working out quite well. The intercooler and radiator fit nicely, but the mechanical fan is too deep. An electric pusher fan should solve any fan[IMG] issues
