We had got this Scout running and driving for the owner after it sat for four years, after we got it up and running he decided to do a soa and r.s. The Scout has a 2" body lift and Superlift 3" springs currently and will soon be SOA, R.S, high steer with full size 3/4 ton axles with 4.10 gears. The front 44 will get a cut and turn. Whats up guys! How was the Rendezvous? Hopefully the Jeep Eater will be ready for next year... The 42s were shipped last week along with the PVC inserts for the hummer wheels. Gears and locker should be there soon also.

I know you guys mentioned that you were putting chromoly shafts in to replace the puny 19-spline stockers, but what kind did he order?? were they from here>>>
http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/cmfrontaxleshafts.htm
I looked around some for sale ads and most dana 60's are going for 800-1200$ right now. man I got lucky with the price on mine, whew!!

This is what I want to go with, RCV axel shafts. Only thing is that I can get a D60 for the price of these shafts 1285$. They have D60 shafts and they say "Unbreakable" ... For 2300$ they better be.
The Dana 44 the shafts replace the 19 slpine outters with 30 spline. I would assume with the D60 it would 35 spline outter?

Any dana 44 shafts that are aftermarket will be 30 spline, inner and outer. The dana 60 stock has 35 spline inners and 30 spline outers, and all the outer shafts I have seen from aftermarket vendors are all 35 spline. Those RCV shafts are crazy expensive, for that price you can get a kingpin d60 and almost have enough to buy a 4340 or 300m aftermarket axle set. I looked on pirate4x4 and found a thread about the 'ultimate front end' but some of the stuff those guys are talking about is true KOH competition style hardcore and super expensive. check out this place though >>> http://www.branikmotorsports.com/axle.htm
and here is that thread. I guess it really depends on budget, but I would say a dana60 with 35spline shafts is gonna hang with the pitbulls no prob. some of the vendors offer lifetime warranty on thier shafts, but I forget which one, there used to be a few companies that make them now there is like 20 of them!!!
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=987178&highlight=rcv+axle
One of the setups listed here cost upwards of 10,000 to build, but its like 40 spline axles and all custom up the yin yang!!!

Decided not to go with the crazy stroked, big cam, high rpm 392 motor. After doing much research on rebuilding the 392, I decided a Torque motor would be better for turning 42" tires over rocks. Motor has 30 over pistons, isky torque cam, DUI distributor and Live wires, and pretty much stock after that.

I saw no motor only a table full of parts, You should have it back in a few years:tt2:
