Seeing if we have any fisherman here? I'm off on mondays, tuesdays and weds during the day, and I always go. So if, ya'll ever want to go and drop a hook let me know. Or if you know of some good spots....

No. That would be Lake Holbrook. I'm about 11 miles to the boat ramp at Fork. The nice thing is that Fork keeps the traffic off the little lake and therefore the fishing is really pretty good.

Hey Chris,
funny you should bring it up. I have not fished in years and was thinking about it the other day. What does a fishing licence go for these days? I may be able to fish on one of those days, but I may or may not have a kid with me depending on if my wife is working from home that day or not.

BrettSo that means we get usage during the weekdays? J/K. I've been taking the kids [4,6,&10] fishing on Sunday afternoons. So far they're happy catching perch & bluegill. I bareley get a hook wet with baiting hooks & removing fish but it's good quality time with my rugrats. Seems my FL was $30 then $10 for a duplicate because I lost it. The FL that is.....YUK-YUK. I'm off Fri,Sat & Sun but maybe I could catchya on a Monday holiday. We have about 50 of them at the County.

$30.00 for a FL! Man It has been a long time for me. I think it cost around $16.00 the last time I fished. That would have been the last part of the 1980s to the first part of the 1990s I geuss. Time sure flew by!
I hope I still remember how to bait a hook.:cornfused::yes:

I just got a new fishing license and it was about 28-30 bucks... Now thats just fresh water and a combo for salt/fresh is about $45..... Well I think I'm going off of 377 denton creek area tomorrow. It can be a good spot, kinda a big hit or miss.... Usually sand bass and cat.....

I Have fished there before, and done some hiking and biking there too. It is not too far from where I used to live in "Argyle". What time of day do you usually go?

Well I didn't catch any keepers... They were just a few inches to small. Well I did catch a couple of cats. They tasted real nice. There is a guy at work who always goes to some spot and always catches some nice fish. I'll find out where he goes and maybe we can get together and go. Oh turtles love to freakn eat HOGWILD. I caught two DANG turtles...... Lucky I didn't make a nice soup out of them..... Not going fishing this coming week, but the following week i'm sure i'll go. I'll let ya'll know to see who wants to go...

I went fishing, barely. I was at the lake this weekend putting new carpet in the boat. Not a bad task, just a little tedious. It's almost done. I just have to do the compartment lids, etc. I brought them home.
I did get to use the winch Saturday. I back the boat down into the water to check for leaks and missed the boat ramp and back into some reeds in the water. I guess I should cut them down. Two wheel drive with an open carrier and one tire in the mud, reed, water doesn't lend itself to getting out easily. So I unspooled the winch, but a strap around a 5' diameter tree and pulled myself out.
I did fish from the bank this morning about 5:45 a.m. I caught 2 bass about 1 1/2 pounds. Then it was time to start work on the boat again.
