I am in the process of streching my L-110 cab 12 inches and I will shorten the box to match. I want to update the front suspension and lower things at the same time.
Has anyone swapped in a car front clip?
Any advice?

I seriously doubt you will get any responses here. This forum is more for people restoring and fixing up their IH's and not cutting them up and rodding them. You might try the skunkwerks.

Sweet!! I plan to watch for updates.

I have a few 51 cabs that I dreamed off making a crew or extended cab out of. Big thoughts, no sheetmetal talent though. I've got a picture of a 185 sleeper cab in my Photopost pics. Would be cool to narrow it down to L110 size and put on a late model chassis.

I am awake now. :)

Keep us posted.

Wish ya luck!!!!

I think the TDT regulars are a bit more tolerant of 'stuff' than we're made out to be :D Our only hard and fast mandate with me at the helm is no Scout stuff

While I find the whole notion of rodding an IH rather silly, bottom line it's not my truck.

Given the current state of the hot rod industry, grafting OEM front clips is totally obsolete technology and a hack-job of false economy. Fatman Fabrications has an IFS solution for the L/R/S series ready to go, just give them a call.
