I am looking at getting a Scout Traveler in Rapid City, SD. I have talked to Eldon McFarling and he is willing to help get it to his place. Because I live another 450-500 away from him, this could turn into a 3-day event. I have used up my vacation for the rest of the year and can really squeek out about 2-3 days and this may not be enough time. Here is my delema:

I need someone to be able to go and look at the Scout. Verify its condition and give me feedback.

Then I would need it hauled to or near Eldon's home in Caresco NE. He is willing to meet away from his home, to then transport it there. It is currently not running, hence the need for a trailer.

Is there someone out here that may be able to help? I know SD is like two states away, but this is going to be my daily driver rig, once I get things in it settled and I am turning here for the help. I am willing to try and recoop someone for fuel, provided I am not being taken for a ride. If there is someone willing to assist feel free to email me:

Or call me: 618-567-5633 any time and we can dicuss the details. Thanks and have a great day.

You might try to contact a guy by the name of Dave Nueke. He is here on BB. I met him about three years ago at the Sunflower Show. I looked up his profile. It says that he is living in Newell, SD that is not far from Rapid City.

Too bad that it wasn't earlier this summer - I was just there for vacation. Nice place but there is a whole lot of nothing on the way there.

Good luck.

Look up Dave or Matt O'Brian, the two are thick as thieves but are great guys and might be able to help. I conned Matt into hauling a pickup from AZ up to Newell, SD where Dave held it till I could pick it up. Matt and Dave both go by their complete names (first and last) on here.

I have tried PM and email to Dave Neunke and I haven't heard back from him. Might one be able to email me his phone # or another way to contact him? I don't want his info published unless he wants it, but either way I could use the help. Could any of you guys maybe try your ways of getting a hold of either the O'Briens or Dave Nuenke? Thanks and I will keep checking through my means as well. Thanks

Jeff
