A friend of mine bought manuals for his KB-5 recently from Binder Books, so they should have what you need in stock.

Thanks, looks like they have what I need, wish Fathers day was sooner :)
This new truck is a KB3, 47 or 48. Are they positve or negative ground? still has a generator.

Friends KB-5 is 6 volt positive ground... believe that was the standard until around 1956....

Also, 12 volt generators were used when auto manufacturers started switching to 12 volt systems until the mid 60's when most started using alternators.

We've got ops, parts and service ready when you need them. Give us a call, 50-684-2024.

Nice find, and I believe stock it should be positive ground.

Thanks Carl, you *will* be hearing from me.
Once I located the bat it was clearly a + ground. Today after work I made a new bat tray and threw in a new + cable, next step is to try to start it.
