Topless Scout that is! What killer weather we are having. The wife and I just got back from my brothers for a cookout and swim. The temp. was a perfect 71 Degrees and not a cloud in the night sky. These are the days that I thoroughly enjoy - mildly warm days and cool nights. Makes driving a topless Scout unbeatable. Took the half cab off my Scout last week and haven't had to cover it in that amount of time. Just wanted to share - hope everyone else is enjoying the same. Talk at you later.
Oh yeah, any word on the next get together?

Good story, thanks for sharing. Catchy title, I tried "topless" last Feburary and it got edited to "roofless".

Nathan, I couldn't agree more, the weather has been perfect. I haven't had to put the top up since Katrina moved through. The wife and I took the Scout to the football game Saturday night. Driving home at about 1:30 am looking up at the stars made sitting in traffic with 80,000 other people a lot more enjoyable, plus the fact that we won :D . Robby even made it to the game in one of his Scouts.
As for the next trip, I was thinking about a fishing/camping trip along the Chattooga sometime this fall, but as always I'm up for anything.

I will have to agree that this is about the best time of the year to go topless. I rather enjoyed coming back from Helen without the top up! The misses was a little chilly, but the heater was strong enough to take off the chill even on the interstate. Unfortunately, my Scout hasn't left the garage since that weekend. :(

I have recently become a big fan of the Terra because I can easily remove and install the top by myself. I really wish the full top was just as convienent. Topless is good!! :D

Sometimes you gotta take what you can get. Windows down in my truck with weather like this. A little sense of freedom, at least.

I have been topless all summer. Now it is at least cool enough to enjoy it

I love going topless. I just got back from a camping and hiking trip on the Tennessee/Kentucky border. I drove topless from Atlanta all the way there and all the way back. Of course, I had lots of sunscreen and lots of tunes.

Cool pic, Don. Still great weather, and it's been two weeks since my first post. Do need the rain, though. Now I'm gonna have to enjoy the somewhat lowered gas prices for the weekend, before they go up again  , then it's time to drive the F-350. Sad when you have to drive the Big truck just to get better mileage, but it's still International powered, so no worries. Talk at you guys later.
