1931 International Parts Quest

My wife Kathy and I just aquired a 1931 1-1/2 ton flatbed that is still 100% factory. This truck runs but needs total restoration. We need any and all parts that we can come up with, especially the engine and drive-line parts.

1931 International with Waukesha 4 cylinder engine
Model # B2-136WB 1 1/2 ton
Chassis # B2-2688

Sounds like a great project!

Advanced warning, prepare for run with the brakes... probobly going to need to get the shoes relined, so make sure to pull the shoes before the material is all gone. Drums are likely unavailible new unless you get them custom done.

If I read the numbers right that's a B2, which is theoretically a 3/4 ton, but IH is known for underrating stuff to an extreme amount.

I am making a parts run to a fellow in Minnesota who has a few trucks of/near my vintage (1927). I do not know what he has yet. I am also going to pick up the remnants of a 'parts' 6 Speed Special for another project. The truck I am now working on is a SF46 2 ton. I am also looking for parts especially sheetmetal, but the 30's stuff is a little too styled to use on my rig, I'll keep my eyes open for you if he has any. There is a lot of that stuff in N. and S. Dakota, usually in a field or next to a barn. Keep your eyes peeled for the spring and fall farm auctions out there. I have had some luck in n. Colorado and Wyoming too. If you see any SF34, SF36, SF44, SF46, 15B bus chassis or any of the SD trucks please email me. Also if anyone has a running Lycoming 4SL 6 cyl or parts let me know. I think there is a really nice B2 for sale in Montana, I'll look it up...the guy sent me a video tape, you can have it if I find it.

Good Luck on the Waukesha. I did one in a F12 and it was hard to find parts.
