The September Trail Run plans have been changed. I will not be leading the run. The trail is still there, it looked like a good run as I drove by the trail head this morning. I might still run the trail that weekend, but will be unable to be part of a club run.
As is usually the case, details must be worked out at the next (September 8, 2004) meeting.

so
yikes
maybe we could run
to the cliff dwellings
in cherry crk
spending the nite
by the river
and hiking the area;
if guys want
i could run head
with cj on the tail
roundn' up the strays
rawhide
like always

so sorry...
maybe i would lead the run
with casey, as always,
pulln' up the tail,
making sure we don't loose
anyone in the middle of the pack.
and ...
if you think of the run
as "round'n up doggies"
then you get to rawhide
as in ...
run them down
load them up
move them out
rawhide
aka ..
the song "rawhide"

This may be a bad thing, but I understood the 1st time
Maybe its a generational thing?

Don't think it's a generation thing. I understood it the first time also. So it's either the dry heat or understanding the way Eric thinks (or maybe a bit of both)

Ok, heres the update following the Sept club meeting:
If you're interested in going back out to Cherry Creek and hiking to the Indian ruins, please contact Eric Jouse and set that up....or post it here :)
Dan Heath leads a run Saturday Sept 18th to travel Trail 42 near Bartlett Lake. Plans to run it from south to north, beginning at the trailhead near the Bartlett Lake Marina & lake access, going north all the way to Horseshoe Dam. Meeting point is the normal Cave Creek Circle K parking lot. This is the K further up the hill, past the first K, on the north side of the road, adjacent to several tourist-trap shops which have parking. Leaving at 9am, 18th Sept.
If you have questions as to whether your vehicle or driving skills are up to either of these runs, please post up or contact one of the active club members. Shoot, you can even ask me, although I'm a web wheeler :D

Looks like Adriana and I are going to miss this one. Her Dad is coming to town for the weekend, so we'll be staying in town. :(
That means I expect a full trail report (or two, if there are two seperate runs!) and some pictures emailed to me for the newsletter by the folks that do go!
