Hello Members: Keith and I will not be camping at the roundup this year so I did a little research concerning the lodging that would be available for us in Monroe Washington during the northwest binders roundup. I thought I would pass on this information to you all in the event that you wish to use it...I urge folks that are going to make reservations for any lodging outside of the campground to do so soon...The Monroe Chamber of Commerce 110 Lewis Street. P.O. Box 38, Monroe Washington 98272. Phone # 360-794-5488. email chamber@monroe.net website; http://chamber.monroe.net I am including this information just in case any one is interested in contacting them.
Best Western Baron Inn 360-794-3111...Holiday Inn Express 360-863-1900 ( this is 6.8 miles away from the roundup I checked cause this is where we reserved, they have lots of guest ammenities including indoor pool and laundry )...Fairground Inn 360-794-5401...Monroe Motel 360-794-6751...Dutch Cup Motel 360-793-2215...I have a copy of the paper that the chamber sent to me with more information on all these places ( minus the actual cost of the room ) and I will be making copies of this and bringing them to the June meeting for everyone...sooooooo hope this helps folks...see you all next month~

Obviously, camping is not for everyone. Let alone camping without any source of running water. Nothing wrong with that. By the third day, my heart yearns for the really hot scrub of home too.

Don't let that be a reason not to attend this years NWBRU. Be comfortable. Get a room if that is what your comfort level dictates. Take advantage of this information the Loudens are providing. But do so soon! Vendors and their families will be filling up available vacancies faster than you can dial 1-800-ATT for the event.

And Snohomish is not that big of a town:

Lonnie,

According to the nwbinders' web site (www.nwbinder.net) the round up is July 26-29. I am pretty sure the club is planning on caravaning up there on friday morning. Friday and Saturday(July 26 and 27) are registration and show stuff. Sunday is more show and awards, then there is an optional trail run on monday (July 29). I am not sure who, if any are planning on staying for the trail run, but you can find out at the next meeting.

Hope this helps

Carl
