Pick a place and a weekend, post up and we'll tally the votes after Nationals.
I'm figuring on a Saturday, between the weekends of September 29th, or October 6th.
If there is a better weekend for you, lemme know.
Edit: Can someone make this a sticky, please?

WOOT WOOT!!!! one vote and I am in the lead!!! Oct. 6th works for me:D
Would everyone consider Oct 20? I could actually make that one! I don't want to be presumptious to ask to change for me, but that is an open weekend. Now that Levi's junk is running, we could have a pretty good turn out?
I voted Coppenger Cove. Good rides, lots of scenery.
Tony, I didn't see you mention this, but I think once we settle on a weekend, it is come one, come all. Open invite. Tracy City is awful close to our sister club (hint hint SEBA :D )

Looked those places up, no room for my truck, aint got nothing on it other then some 31X10.50 a/t tires. I'd have to skip this one two.

Coppenger Cove you'd be OK. We have had Tony's Scout II in there with no issues other than spotters on certain trees. Other than a spring-over his is stock.

It's true. I have 35's, so clearance is better, but I have seen and heard of people wheeling 31's out there before......All day long.
For that matter, I did better there when I had my 33's. Less carnage.
If any SEBA fellers are reading this, come on out and break your junk with us!
Heck for that matter J.J., pm Mike and see if he wants to wheel the LT1......

Y'all plan it, get all your ducks in a row...and let me know. If I can, I will be there! I have plans, and parts, for an off-road truck, but it is in a sad current state:
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r274/LT4Hawk9/Misc%20Scout%20stuff/img290.jpg
So the LT1 with 31" AT's may be what has to come...IF I can even make it. Matt is in school, and it would be a difficult one to pull off, but possible. Keep me abreast of the situation as soon as you pick a date and venue...

Thus proving the difference between the four wheel drive and the rental is that the rental WILL go anywhere. Jettas included. Ask Toby

I really appreciate the invite fellas. I am currently bringing the old Terra out of hibernation and giving it a little revamp. I'm hoping to have it up and rocking by late Octoberish. Plan away and I will see if I can make it. I haven't wheeled since the Golden Mountain trip a couple of years ago. Far too long.

I would be happy to set a late October date if you could make it then. Drag Nate and the "Pane" mobile with ya! And with Jeff's suggestion, that makes two.
Is everybody else ok with a later date?
The more rigs there, the happier I am, I'm in the interwebs/jackstands catagory, so more odds of a passenger seat opening up for me. :D

Weekend of October 13/14 is no good for me, so later in the month is OK by me.
Plus it'll get me more time to got my rig together...it's looking a little 'frame-and-engine-with-no-axles-or-body-ish' as of late.

Sounds killer, only issue is my annual Wrenchfest I have at the pad. Trying to figure out an October date for it. Would love to have the TVB gents attend this as well, just have to coordinate it so it may be feasible for some. Keep you posted. As far as the "Pane" mobile, she needs a good stretching of her legs - been way too friggin' long - I've got steering issues to address, but dang it, we need to wheel.

Good point, Nate. I'd love to make it to a wrenchfest.
Pm me when you're available, and maybe we can work on dates for both together.

Alright kids, looks like the date is going to be set for October 20th. More people are available that weekend to attend. We still need more votes for locations. A couple of the SEBA guys mentioned they want to come over and wheel. I'm going to cast my vote for Golden Mountain, so if they do come over, they can stay at the cabin/hotel/lodge there on site.
Looks like Nate over at SEBA has set his date for his annual wrenchfest to be the weekend after the wheeling expedition, October 27th. I am aiming at attending both events, and would like to drag a couple of TVB'ers with me over to the Carolinas. I will not be hauling anything with me to wrench on, just going to help, and eat, oh, and drink beer.
Anybody wanna go with?

I would not mind going to Nate's Wrenchfest Tony, depending on work schedule and funding...:cornfused:

Maybe next time fellers. I will be attending the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta that weekend. I really do hate missing it. I will have my truck ready anyway for the next round for sure. I hope some of you guys can make it out to Nate's.
Tony,
Great idea going here. When do we want to close the poll? If we are talking Golden Mt, the sooner to rent out the bunkhouse might be better.

I'll close it the Monday after Nationals, that will give us about six weeks to make reservations for cabins.
By the way, when your not backing up big rigs, writing checks, or unloading disco balls, call me. Wanna run a few things by ya.....

I voted for golden mtn, cause I've not been there yet, and my buddy says its great. been to coppinger cove a few times. I like it but its my close wheelin spot now that aetna is getting shut down in the near future. but I would still go there if everyone else did.
Guess I need to put this on my phone calendar, so I have a chance of remembering. I don't get on here very often.

Poll is now closed.
Results are:
October 20th, Golden Mountain OHV Park.
Meet there around 9:00 in the parking lot!
I call dibbs on the first empty seat!
I will be there as well! Probably with an empty seat.
Their website is down, but I was able to source the local phone number.
Are they still in business?
JJ
I got a return from Jayne at the park. All is well, I have reserved a room at the bunkhouse on Saturday night.

For anyone else interested, here's a link to the park's website.

According to their calender, nothing else is happening that weekend, so we should have wide open spaces to play.

Hey Tony,
Jayne asked me who was coming, and how many in our party. I told her about Tennessee Valley Binders, and that it was:
1) JJ
2) TTP
3) Mr Scott
4) Mr Ardrey
5) Mr Richardson
6) Mr Perrson
Who else is coming? She was excited to host the event.

hhhmm now if i was to change my mind, and want to go to this place, i know ill be close enough to not have to spend the night there. And i could have my terra along for the ride. What would i have to do to go? Just show up and pay the entrance fee? or call ahead and pay.
I will be working on my Terra the next few days to get ready. What is everyone else doing to get ready???

J.J., the last coount I heard was nine rigs, with Levi's Jeep friend, that makes ten.
As far as getting ready, I'm popping all the knuckles in my right hand so I can properly thumb a ride.
Tucker, you could always make eleven. It's not that long of a trip fer ya..... I could be the inspirational guy and say it doesn't hurt when you break your junk, but I'd be lyin'.
Levi, can't wait to see the linker in action. Heck, I'll be the one to grab the rear wheel and pull it back on all fours for ya!

I need to replace my tc adapter I broke off a couple weekends ago, but its sitting in the shop floor waiting on me. ordered a seal kit for the d300 while its out, and need a stiffer spring for the shift detent as well.

Tucker, there are a few stock truck trails out there, I did them one year, and apart from runnin' solo, the Scout did fine.
