The order is cast into the intake manifold. Scrap off the mud and find it.

According to the International Service Manual, firing order for a 345 is: 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 (my manual is Scout II XLC series 1975 thru 1977). Hope this helps.

The firing order is cast into the manifold just behind the T-stat housing (kinda keeps it handy for us). Don't forget to time the engine off #8 cylinder.
