Well, at least I'll be off of the floor for awhile. I'm gonna miss all the dirt in my face and POR-15 on every appendage. I did manage to paint the underside of my hood which I have plans for, (more on that later), .

What's the latest on Jeepeater? Time for a "Project Resurrection" update!

When you did the springs, did you separate the spring pack and paint each leaf or paint as a pack. I have been thinking about the plan of attack for my suspension.
Looks great!

Okay, ya got me.
After some severe wire brushing and flapper-wheel sessions, I admittedly painted them both as a pack! Wasn't tooled up to tear apart and reassemble, and after the body mount bushing and the leaf spring bushing replacement, taking the leafs apart honestly did not appeal to me in the least. Some things will just have to wait, or I'll never drive this thing. At this point, I'm trying to choose my battles wisely.

imho it doesn't do much good to paint the inside of the leafs as they will rub the paint off as you bounce down the road. it will take a lifetime and then some to rust through a leaf. so all it needs to do is look nice in refrence to rest of the truck. so seperating the pack is wasted work as far as paint goes. no to alter your spring rate or replace the center pin or such. is another story. looks good, roll with it and don't worry about it. i see no short cuts so far.

Got the lawn all mowed tonight to free up my weekend for wrenchin'.
No concrete plans yet but I'm thinkin' about bolting up my rear skid plate to support my new poly fuel tank & sender, (as my rear deck is still off so I have no forward anchor point for support straps), so I can plumb fuel lines to engine compartment and will no longer have to punk around with a 1 gallon gas can when I wanna run the engine. Couldn't get the engine started last week, even after I installed the new flame thrower coil. Hope my Pertronix Ignitor is still good. I'd rather get the electrical in the engine compartment squared away so I can run the engine whenever I want, (leaking rear main or not). I need to run it long enough to see if my auto tranny is going to function.
In light of all this, I may just need to do some light work and study the electrical for a bit, as that is much higher on my list of priorities. Got the books, just need to read them and get acclimated and less dependent on others. That being said, my beer fridge will be full1

Sounds good to me Jared. I have pondered this a few times and like the idea of NOT separating. i have done it in the past and didn't see any real gain, just lots of time that i could do something else.
Looks great to me sully! if you are working on IHCs this weekend i may come up there. i got your PM with the P#

Holt,
The "Scout Lair", (my garage), is always open to my Scout Buddies. May have to work Saturday morning, regardless, always home by noon.
Just give me a call!
